Of course, we use a diffuser in his room. The white bookshelf has been painted so many times- it was mine growing up! Nona Maria knit him the blue blankie before she passed, and I got the big brown bear from my baby shower with Acilia. The recliner was my parents’, and it’s traveled with us here from the girls’ rooms at our old house. Over on my favorite wall, is Russie’s baptism sign from My Handmade Happiness, along with his oily shelf, ornate with more Packer gear. I really love old stuff like this, it makes me appreciate innovation and creativity. Isn’t this little music box adorable? We bought it for $1 at a garage sale. Isn’t intuition a funny thing? This little boy LOVES trucks and cars! I got the truck canvas at Target, to go with the Romana Construction hats. I just love seeing pieces of their history woven into Russie’s life.ĭrew loved The Lion King growing up, and I actually found the lion print locally when we lived in Kansas. The little Reebocks were Drew’s first pair of shoes- they got passed around to his cousins, and Drew’s uncle thought enough to save them for us! How incredible is that!? His mom even saved Drew’s first rattle. My husband certainly couldn’t have a son who doesn’t love the Green Bay Packers, so his whole room has Packer toys and blankets scattered around. Handmade newborn hats, and my sister brought him back little booties from Nepal. It’s filled with cards from Russie’s baptism, and little gifts from our family. We found the shelf at Homegoods (but here is a similar one). It’s so much easier than folding every little piece!
I like baskets/cubbies for their little hats, socks, and bibs- easy clean up. It’s such an honor and blessing to have brought home three babies to use them. We’ve had the changing table, hamper, and diaper caddy since 2016. Our sweet neighbor did his newborn photos, and we found the softest muslin sheets at Mebie Baby. It was supposed to be on sale for $50, not $15!!! But, they honored the sale price, and this gift has entertained all three of my kids so far! Wouldn’t you know… they made a big mistake. Zany activity cube went on sale from $60 to $15!!! Well, it sold out, immediately, but the worker at Target gave me a “rain check”- basically a receipt redeemable for the sale price when the item comes back in stock. We were a few months away from Acilia’s first Christmas, and the B. Now, back to the activity cube… have you ever heard of a Target “rain check?” I have no idea if they still do this anymore, but this story is my pride and joy (mom-win, woo!). They all have been able to reach up and turn it on at night when they are trying to fall back to sleep. Zany activity cube and mobile– it’s the BEST!! It’s not super aesthetically pleasing, but all of my kids have loved passing time by pulling off the animals. We found the “man cave” sign at Hobby Lobby (I actually had it in Drew’s bathroom at the old house, haha!). Instead of looking for every shiny new thing, we decorated his room with our family’s legacy.
